Students are taking the GED test will be given a series of questions that are related to six topics. Students must be tested so that they are able to show that they have the basic knowledge that a regular high school student would have. The GED test allows a student to show up efficiency and a number of subjects from mathematics to reading. In order to pass the test the student must show a basic level of proficiency in the subjects. Social Studies Section. The social studies section of the GED test will test the knowledge of the student in a wide range of social study topics. This will allow you to show that you have the ability to intake information on a wide range of topics. There’ll be multiple choice questions ranging from world history, American history, government and politics as well as geography and economics. These are all subjects that high school students are given in a basic social studies class.
Mathematics Section. The math portion of the GED test is separated into two parts. The first part of the GED test will allow you to use a calculator for the problems. The second portion of the GED test will not allow you to use a calculator. The mathematics portion will test your knowledge in statistics, data analysis, basic algebra and geometry. You must show basic efficiency in processing numbers and understanding basic mathematic operations in order to pass this section the GED test.
