When a student is considering getting her GED the first question that comes to mind is whether or not they are required to take a class in order to pass the GED test. Library and Study Guide. There are many books and study guides that are devoted to GED education. These books give an overview of what is required on the test and even give example test so that students can test their ability to take the test. Many people will use this book and not require the use of classes.
