When a student is considering getting her GED the first question that comes to mind is whether or not they are required to take a class in order to pass the GED test. Every person is different and therefore the number of classes and ways to study for the GED test will vary. Alright, so you didn’t finish high school and now you are wishing you had. Now you need to get your GED or General Education Diploma, or a High school diploma. Which one should you get? What’s the difference? While no one can tell you which diploma you should get, differences can be explained and you can make a decision based on what your needs are.
High School diploma’s are earned by going to a High School and completing a set number of study courses as well as hours of instruction. The High School diploma is generally thought of being superior to the GED. It is possible, with the use of a computer, to obtain a High School Diploma online. Keep in mind that there will be a tuition charge for the diploma, somewhere around three hundred dollars in most cases. Just be sure the online High School is accredited.
GED or General Education Diploma does not require you to do any prep work or prep courses before you take the test. You can take this test in one day. You are tested in five different areas of study.
